A Gorgeous Irish April in Graignamanagh!

Canal boating on the Barrow in Graignamanagh- see the 2 wee dogs on the top?

April has been glorious here in our corner of Ireland, and I'd like to share some of it with you.
Lily pads, perfect for frogs!

Bluebell in the Woods- they are FULL of them!
collecting a bit of wild garlic (ramsoms)
We just love wild garlic in salads, but you can cook with it, too. Here's a post from Irish Food Guide about wild garlic and here is a post from I Married An Irish Farmer with a recipe for wild garlic soda bread. We've done a variation of this before & it is tasty!
blackthorn flowers make the riverside hedgerows snowy white

We went across the river to St. Mullins and had lunch at the Mullichain cafe, and got to enjoy some 'pink snow' when the breeze picked up. Check out our friendly bovine video- it should also make you smile!
